Explore the city or stay in one kitchen?
A tour gives you neighbourhood context and a sequence of food stops. A class gives you a base, a practical activity and time around a table. Match that format to your energy after a sightseeing day.
Consider everyone in your group
People who enjoy discovering places may prefer the tour. Guests who want a shared activity may prefer making pasta or pizza. Check participation rules for children and whether everyone in your party wants to cook.
Compare the full menu
Food tours vary in how much they provide; classes vary in the dishes and drinks included. Review the actual menu and whether the experience replaces a meal. Avoid booking another large meal immediately afterwards without knowing what is served.
Our recommendation
For one spare evening, choose whichever format fills a gap in your trip. If you already have several walking tours booked, a cooking class offers a change of pace. If you have not explored the neighbourhood, a food tour can combine discovery and dinner.
